Day 4: the case factory
Day 4. The ward has a case factory now: our own case library is compiled into the ward's deterministic engine by a validator that refuses what it cannot model honestly. 78 cases are in the ward tonight — 18 written for the countries our patients come from first (Niger, South Sudan, Somalia, Malawi, Papua New Guinea, Yemen, Chad, Rwanda …), 60 translated from our Thai library. All provisional until our clinical advisor has reviewed them; nothing opens before that. Also today: a review mode where anyone can open any case without touching a bed or the chain; a chart page for every patient who has left; receipts that read as a story with the on-chain proof folded below; times read from block time, not slot arithmetic; a bed freed within a minute of a closed tab. Staging census tonight: 17 admitted · 1 went home · 9 died unattended · 27 shifts.
